When it comes to drop through longboards, it’s hard to deny that the Serpentagram Black is pretty badass. We took the timeless skateboard graphic trope of snakes, and turned it to a twin tip tangram of an ouroboros (a snake eating its own tail) and applied that to a symmetrical seven-ply, Canadian maple drop through deck. The deck itself has a mellow center concave with it getting a little more aggressive as it reaches the rails of the board. This gives your foot a nice pocket in which to sit and leverage your turns.
The ply of the skateboard have been beautifully layered with black, red, and natural stains and branded with the official GoldCoast Skateboards’ seal. These little details make all the difference and are what set these boards apart.
The drop through deck is then mounted with the brand new, Century C80 Reverse Pivot Trucks. These new trucks have been in development for two years and are simply stunning. Made from gravity cast, virgin aluminum, they are a perfect 50 degree angle, and the symmetrical hanger design allows you to rotate your wheels by simply flipping the hangers around. They have countersunk mounting holes that keep your hardware flush with the baseplate of the trucks, which is a subtle design feature that really looks awesome. Finally, the wheels used are 70mm Shred Boots, which are an 85a super high rebound urethane, center set, wheel. The wheels are great for cruising, sliding and carving with their square lip, they have just the right amount of grip and slip. The Shred Boots are packed with the speedy, Rolleroid Bearings, and ABEC 9 level bearing that is designed for smooth cruising or face melting speed. So no matter if this is your first longboard, or you’ve been skating for years, the Serpentagram Balck Drop Through is ssssweet. Buy it HERE.
